The family casual category is the only one in which sales are down year over year. Sales decreased 2.9%, and units are down by 7.7%. Ovation Brands, operator of Old Country Buffet/HomeTown Buffet and Ryan’s, two of the chains with the greatest losses, has since declared bankruptcy.
